Brianne has been a hairstylist in the Beauty Industry for 24 years and a salon owner for 16 years. She started her career at Encounters Hair Salon and grew with the company for 7 years.
Shortly after discovering she was pregnant with her third baby, she decided to create a 2 chair salon out of her home. Brianne’s Company at the time Blush Co., “A Glamour on the Go” company, provided hair and make-up services on sight.
She would go on to open a two-chair salon in Shawnee, KS. She quickly outgrew the space and opened a 10-chair salon in Olathe.
A few years later, she wanted to create a more sustainable space for her guests and her team. One last move, just a few blocks away, Brianne built out a more sustainable and efficient salons from scratch.
She rebranded the name to tālem Salon. tālem, the Latin word that means, “to Empower”, was chosen by Brianne to encourage her team to take ownership of their careers and to pave a new way of thinking when it came to the salon business structure.
tālem eventually partnered with two sustainable powerhouse companies, Green Circle and Vish, to contribute to the forward thinking of what should be the standard in recycling and eliminating salon waste.
Brianne’s belief is if the salon industry wants to continue to do what they love, they need to be aware of the impact of salon services being provided and the waste that is created by these services. Brianne’s focus is to meet salons where they are on their journey to becoming sustainable and operating greener in the best interest of the guest, the stylist, the salon, and the environment.
She has created a program to elevate the salon’s sustainable progress and implement better ways to own and operate your salon business, whether you are a booth renter or operating a full-service salon.
Brianne’s passion is to think progressively in the Beauty industry so salons and stylists can thrive a healthy, thoughtful and respectful environment.
Brianne has many plans to keep moving the salon industry in a more sustainable and green direction and couldn’t be more excited to share her knowledge and experience with salon owners, stylists, and guests!
